Safety Management
“ Comprehensive and effective safety
measures are our top priority. ”
We are responsible for preserving the sanctity of the lives of our workers, employees,
customers and citizens so safety and health are our highest values.
Samho Development has implemented the “Safety and Health Management Policy”
below to ensure a safe and pleasant work environment.
Health and Safety Management System(KOSHA-MS)
Samho Development always maintains current KOSHA-MS certification.
KOSHA-MS is the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency’s system for certifying health and safety management systems.
We continuously update our certification and improve our systems so we can prevent accidents and protect employees.
Health and Safety Management Guidelines
-
Health
and Safety
Task force
To prevent on-site accidents, Samho Development’s CEO has established and oversees a dedicated health
and safety task force. Its main tasks are creating policies and plans, budget procurement, operating and
supervising management systems related to health and safety, safety-related education, communication
related to on-site safety, support for accident prevention and safety performance management, etc.
We are committed to continually investing in and strengthening the health and safety task force.
-
Health
and Safety
Education
・Training
Samho Development conducts a diverse range of training to increase company-wide capacity to
protect health and safety. We are creating a culture of safety by providing differentiated education, e.g. regular
training, training for: new employees, training for workers transferring to new jobs/tasks, situations
requiring special training, material safety data sheets, safety and health systems, and other specialized training.
In addition, we conduct drills so that workers will be able to implement accident procedures for
their site swiftly, if required.
-
Safety
Inspections
In addition to main office’s half-year on-site assessments, every two weeks Samho Development conducts
nation-wide risk assessments for each construction site in order to reduce accidents as far as possible
and improve the standards of safety inspections. Furthermore, the CEO personally visits the site to inspect
the safety conditions and conduct training to raise awareness of safety accidents at least once a month.
-
Listen to
Employees’
Opinions
Samho Development believes that on-site employees understand safety issues best and therefore places great
importance on discussions with employees. We are doing everything we can to prevent accidents, from the
TBM(Tool Box Meeting) and carefully thought out work procedures, we make sure we always listen to and
implement our workers' opinions. The “Your Voice” box at each site ensures fast and effective communication
about safety issues with on-site workers, stopping accidents before they arise.
-
Zero Hazard
Campaign
Samho Development frequently runs zero-hazard campaigns to achieve their goal of zero accidents at all sites.
We are constantly improving on-site safety inspections and instilling greater safety awareness with
our campaigns, e.g. the “Campaign for zero accident tolerance and intensive safety management”,
“Zero-accident flag relay presentation ceremony”, “Excellent safety site award”, and
“Accident-free construction site award.”
